Artist Statement
I started out life as a performer, but as I got older, symptoms from a genetic condition called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome forced me to stop singing and performing. I developed chronic pain and needed a new way to express myself. I began to notice my physical afflictions and my emotional experiences all related to certain colors. Needing to express this has given me inspiration to turn my colorful afflictions and memories into pieces of art. I hope to help those in pain feel less alone, and to use color to express my emotions in my paintings. This is my way of being vulnerable and painting my heart on my sleeve
